Notes all the things you don’t want to do…

i’m asking you to do. whoever dreamt up the concept of a wedding party, you’re genius. when you knowingly ask someone to do something you know they won’t want to do, you are the guilty, bad friend. when you ask someone to be in your wedding party, you are asking a lot of them minus the guilt.

when i started thinking about asking the people close to me to wear a dress that i pick out, to be a photo prop, to help me in the bathroom stall, i felt that i should disclose exactly what i was asking them of.

i found a template on this website that offers FREE invitation templates. it includes some really nice templates that you just edit in microsoft word and print off on your printer. i bought cream cardstock from flax, along with envelopes. i chose cream instead of white because the purple ink set as a deeper purple on the cream cardstock than the white.

then i cut the cards with my fiskars paper cutter to create the individual cards. afterwards, i rounded the corners with my rounding tool.

it was a pretty simple and economical. i just had to purchase the cardstock and envelopes; the cutting tools i already had. (and to top it off, flax offers a teacher’s discount)

    cheers.

  • Text fine dining in the sky.

dinner in the sky is a scary yet intriguing concept. you are offered the best view during your meal, a 360 view of a lovely city. i, for one, am not sure i would be able to hold down a meal hanging so freely from a crane without walls around me..but it is an option for the more daring.  it does make for beautiful pictures. would you dare?

    set in jeruselum.

    set in paris.

  • Text take off. [3/19/11]

after weeks of switching to a new blog, i’m happy to be at this point! from the beginning, i had this concept in mind but never had the chance to execute it. i wanted a blog to include everything i adore and always wanted to include a paper airplane. it’s pretty amazing the airplanes you can make from plain paper. they travel unique, short journeys and never land in the same place.
